Peak Wilderness Nature Reserve

The peak wilderness is one of the few remaining areas in Sri Lanka with continuous tracts of forests graded by height. These range from lowland rainforest to high altitude cloud forest. This montane cloud forest, covers an area of 12,979 hectares.Here,Adam’s Peak (Sri Pada),held sacred by many faiths for centuries, still attracts Buddhist, Hindu and Muslim pilgrims.
